File association problem

Running CS6 Extended and Bridge CC 2019. Can't open a jpeg file in Bridge file to CS6. Click on a jpeg file would open in a jpeg viewer. In Bridge's preferences File Type Associations, the option fields all have "none". If I browse and select CS6's .exe as the association, Bridge would ask me to close an existing CS6 window and open another one. It is a mess. Please help.

What do you means "CS6's .exe"? That makes no sense. Bridge doesn't open files, you would use Photoshop or another graphic viewer/editor.

Oh and you cannot mix versions. Bridge 2019 works correctly with Photoshop 2019. Use Bridge CS6 with the CS6 suite.
