this morning photoshop started with the start your 30 day free trial popup.  I checked the CC app and sure enough photoshop and bridge were waiting to be installed (despite being installed and having been installed for months).

If I install them at this point will I lose my presets, actions etc.  I already lost my tool presets in an upgrade, I dont want to lose anything else

check your account to verify your subscription is what you expect and to verify your adobe id, https://www.adobe.com/account.html

then if your account shows what you expect,

    1. sign out and then back in to your cc desktop application using the same adobe id used to pay for your subscription:  http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/sign-in-out-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

    2. if that fails, Stop Creative Cloud from reverting to trial mode

So what happens if I just install the bloody thing?

when your trial expires you won't be able to continue using the subscription programs.

using a browser that allows popups and cookies,  contact adobe support during pst business hours by clicking here and, when available, click 'still need help', http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/service-ccm.html
