File loading trouble

Hi updated my Photoshop CC and Bridge CC last night from the 2015 to the 2017 version.  Now I can't open any of my files.  I get a pop up that says "Could not complete your request because photoshop does not recognize this type of file."  I worked on pictures all day yesterday and now nothing will open.  Any suggestions?

    Can you open them directly in Photoshop from file, open? What type of files are you trying to open?
