Files deleted by Bridge when copying (to) or moving (to).

Coping or Moving files from one folder to another in BRIDGE, on Windows 10, deletes the files after telling me they are already in the destination folder?
Why does this happen and where do they go?

    Hi michael_rothman,

Can you please let us know if your source and destination are local drives or on network.

Also which option are you choosing "Auto resolve" "replace" or "cancel".

    Regards,

    Abhishek Seth.

The software is on a solid state M.2 500 GB C: drive. with 300GB free.
The files are on an internal (D:/) 931GB hard drive with 330GB free.

Both jpg and nef files are in a folder.  When I attempt to move these file to a sub-folder this is what happens:

1  Move to >   Error message  "Item with the name ...already exists in the folder (destination subfolder)

[there are NO such files  in the destination folder]

Auto-resolve >    An error has occurred during the move. Some files may not have been processed.

[Files are deleted from the origin folder and jpg & nef file are moved to correct destination folder.
In EDIT, undo is grayed out. ]

                          Replace>   An error has occurred.......

[ Files deleted from origin folder.  Only nef file is mover to the sub folder. In EDIT undo is grayed out.
.Windows Search for the missing file finds nothing and the file is not in recycle]

Cancel>  Files moved correctly and deleted from origin folder.

Doing a drag and drop gives the same results as the right click on the image file.

A right click  COPY TO gives the proper results as does a Copy Paste. No files removed form the origin folder both jpg and nef are in the recipient sub folder.

I hope this gets to the bottom of the problem

    Hi ,

    Apologies for the inconvenience .

Please try resetting Bridge preferences as per steps below:

    • Start Adobe Bridge and immediately press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) until the Reset Settings dialog box appears.

    • Select all three options--Reset Preferences, Reset Standard Workspaces, and Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache--and then click OK.

      And try these operations again.
Please let me know if the problem persists.
