HEVC (H.265) No preview in Bridge

Hi,

Bridge is the only place when I can`t preview HEVC files. AE and Premiere has no any problem (latest versions as Bridge).

Windows Explorer has no any problem, too (K-lite pack). Is there any solution to preview HEVC clips in Bridge?

Bridge does not support preview/playback of H.265 video formats.

On a PC, I've found a better faster way to preview video, there's an app in the Microsoft store called QuickLook. It adds a feature to the File Explorer that is built in to Mac, with a file selected, hit the space bar and it previews in a pop out window. I can then arrow through or mouse through other files and they preview in that same window without having to hit space again. Another option with the same quick view funtion is Microsoft PowerToys Peek. Just tap Win+space and see a fast preview. This window can be pinned and used sequentially on clips.

@Michael at UNCP I use PotPlayer for rapid previews and checking of HVEC / H.265 vids
Works like a charm and is much more powerful than VLC or anything I've tried sofar

However, the whole point of Bridge is to manage assets, add metadata and have a huge library to do your video production workflows. To not be able to preview in Bridge, where you want to add all your metadata, is just insane. Kinda defeats the purpose!

I haven't tried this yet because my work laptop won't allow me to purchase the codec but this is apparently a Windows limitation. The new Bridge can support HEVC with the Windows codec "extansion.
