Hi everybody,

I want to have Dublin Core metadata in my templates, and have Bridge recognize the Dublin Core metadata that's been added by other programs. Does anybody know how to do this?

Thank you!

Edit: Can you please describe in more detail what you are trying to achieve?

Hi Stephen,

Metadata is the information adobe Bridge allows us to enter on individual media files. There are different templates Adobe Bridge has included like IPTC Core and IPTC Extension. Dublin Core is a widely used metadata schemeÑ

https://developer.adobe.com/xmp/docs/XMPNamespaces/dc/

I want to enter Dublin Core metadata into media files in Bridge, which would mean Dublin Core metadata would be included in the metadata listed in Bridge along with IPTC Core, IPTC Extension, and others you see here in Adobe Bridge:

I also want Dublin Core metadata to come up in the Metadata panel when it has been entered before including with other programs like Tropy.

Adobe explains metadata further here, and explains about Dublin Core in the section I linked above.

I am aware of what metadata is.  :]

I was after specifics, not generalities. The context is critical. You now mention Tropy.

Adobe provides pre-programmed metadata panel categories, as you have shown.

One can also add custom metadata panels.

Even without a panel for entry, supported metadata added in other apps such as Tropy can be viewed under File Info on the Raw tab.

Can you upload an image sample with representative data from Tropy? Can you provide more details on what exactly you are hoping to achieve?
