Question

How can I apply Keywords to avi videos?

I have quite a few .avi videos.  Apparently I can't apply Keywords to the metadata.  Should I convert these files?  If so is .mp4 the best?  Is there a converter I should prefer?  Or other suggestions?

Thank you

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us. You can set the Keywords by following these steps

  1. Open Bridge
  2. Select .avi files in the content panel
  3. Click on the Keywords panel
  4. And select keywords

You can follow this wiki for more information and usage   https://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/using/keywords-adobe-bridge.html

Please reach out to us if you have any queries.

- You said:
- Open Bridge
- Select .avi files in the content panel
- Click on the Keywords panel
- And select keywords
I appreciate your response. However, for some reason when I select my
keyword for an .avi file, it doesn't 'stick'. The box by the keyword is
momentarily filled in, but then goes back to being empty. I thought maybe
it was the particular file - .avi that just wouldn't take a keyword.

Or maybe it is me??? What am I missing or doing wrong?

Thank you
