Question

How to get a network volume open fast in Bridge?

Every time I start Bridge (the latest) I first need to go to finder to open a network volume (a driver attached to another Mac) where my files are. Of course I would like to open it directly in Bridge. It is not just that. Thereafter, I need to search for the particular folder, as they do not stay as Bridge's favorites! So, there is unnecessary trouble just to get in to work. Is there any solution - that is, just to pen Bridge and then find the network volume I want, instantly?

Hi @tuomasvirtanen.fi

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback, we are able to reproduce the issue(losing network favorites).
The team is investigating the same.

Thanks,

Bridge Team

As written above, the problem seems to be that Bridge loses favorites set for it if those favorites refer to network volumes. This is a nuisance, as the folders of interest can be somewhere at the bottom ... So it is nice that the problem is acknowledged. Even better would be that networks volumes could be opened directly from Bridge, not first in Finder.

Hi, @tuomasvirtanen.fi @Please keep in mind that Bridge was never designed to work on Servers. It was designed to work on drives on the computer or directly connected. When Bridge connects with a server, it's like a dog walking on two legs: they cannot do it well, but the fact they can do it at all is considered remarkable.
