How to get Bridge to search within a folder on a server?

I have a bunch of keywords photos in a folder on a server. They show the keywords in the sidebar. But when I do a search for a photo using the Find function, Bridge can't find the photos.

I thought I could try going to "Show all Items from Subfolder" and just clicking on the master keyword list filter there, but it says "No items to display."

I am using Bridge  8.0.1.282 on Mac OS 10.13.6.

Is there a way to get Bridge to search within subfolders on a server?

    I moved the folder to my local drive and it still didn't work. So I tried Bridge 2017 and it worked as expected.
