How to get Metadata underneath thumbnails

Question

I clicked something by mistake & my entire workspace got messed up. I spent ages getting it almost back how it was, but I cannot see how to get the image info - file size, pixel dimensions, keywords etc - to show underneath each thumbnail, so that when I click on an image I can see its size etc. It used to be there automatically, but I’m finding the latest version of Bridge a complete nightmare to manage; nothing is where it should be! Some of this info is in a ‘metadata’ box in the left column, but I can’t move it & I can’t see if this is the info I want visible anyway. The left-hand column next to the thumbnails has gone all wrong anyway & the info that was there before has vanished. Why is it now showing me a whole list of file properties? I also can no longer see the ‘filter’ option which allows me to apply labels & ratings to files. Please can someone tell me how to get this back into the left-hand column?

If you have changed your Workspce layout inadvertently or otherwise, you can simply revert back to your saved workspace, provided that you have not overwritten it, look in the menu (three bars) next to the title "Alice Workspace" and choose the option to revert to saved workspace.

If you see no metadata under thumbnails, look at very bottom right and make sure the box "Thumbnails only" is unchecked. You can choose which metadata is displayed, look in Preferences>Thumbnails.

You seem to have the wrong concept of the Filter Panel. It is for filtering content on various criteria including labels and ratings not for applying them.

Tryclicking onthe menu (three bars) to the right of your workspace name which I guess is “Alice Workspace”. Choose the option “Reset to Saved Layout”. Unless you have overwritten your workspace, that should take you back to where you were.If you are not seeing any metadata under your thumbnails, look at the very bottom right of the Bridge window and ensure that the box “Thumbnails Only” is unchecked. You can select which metadata items you wish to see from the various options available. Look in Preferences>Thumbnails in the Details section.
