Question

How to search for layered images on Bridge?

Hello,

I need to identify layered tifs from a batch of images, and wondered if there is a way of using Bridge to search for these, without having to open up images individually to check for layers on Photoshop. Is there a piece of metadata I can search for that reliably identifies tifs with layers as opposed to flattened ones?

I need to locate them from a batch of thousands, so any help would be much appreciated!

Try using EXIFTool and search for Layer Count in the Photoshop namespace. That's pretty much going to be most reliable.

Look for Lumagrphics who lurks  here.

He may have a script that does what you are looking for.

Don't expect anything from PS or Bridge
