I am opening a folder with ONE SMALL JPEG file in Bridge and it takes literally forever!

I use Bridge, Photoshop and Lightroom. Photoshop has A LOT of glitches, Lightroom is better but painfully slow, but Bridge is simply unusable - I am opening a folder with ONE SMALL JPEG file in Bridge and it takes literally forever - I mean like 10 minutes or more. Hey, developers! It takes TEN MINUTES to open a folder with one small file. WTF?

Hi IHateAdobeToo
I see bridge users complaining working with hundreds of images and about improving scrolling performance etc etc.
Also based on inputs it seems that you have been using bridge and switching folders. I am sure it allowed you to open a folder normally before. If its taking TEN MINUTES to open a folder, it is  safe to assume that it is an isolated case on your machine and it is reaching this memory state after some memory leaks.
Observing the activity monitor while switching folders would give you some clue about the probable memory leak and that info may eventually of some help to the developers , if that makes sense

Yes, bridge uses some noncense 1000% of memory and CPU power sometimes.

Hi @IHateAdobeToo ,

Could you please share following details:

- Bridge Version, OS version

- Are you facing the slowness for all folders or any specific folder, could you please share a sample screen recording of the issue.

Thanks,

Bridge Team

Hi,

here are my current hardware/software specifications, but I have
experienced this with all versions of Bride since I started using it:
