I cannot open pdf file with bridge

I cannot open pdf file with AI using Bridge. I tryed to change preference - file association-

but pdf need to stay associated with Acrobat. Any advice?

Support for Sierra has been removed, you need to upgrade or fall back to older versions of CC apps.

I have the same problem but have Catalina 10.15.3 - its frustrating as! What can be done?

Hi Janet,

Have you checked that the File Type Association in the Preferences is set properly to Acrobat?

Also, just to make sure, which version of Bridge are you using and which version of Acrobat (and number) are you using?

Yes I have check the file associations are to acrobat. I have DC - although when I right click and go open with it says Adobe Acrobat 20.006.20034 - is the app supposed to have all those numbers after it?

I'm using Bridge 10.0.3.138
