Question

I-cursor disappears while renaming a file.

When I rename a file in Adobe Bridge, the I-cursor blinks in the context at first, but it disappears after a second or two. It appears again when I type a key or click on a spot within the name. I usually count how many times I pressed the arrow key on my keyboard to locate the current location of the I-cursor but it is very inconvenient, especially, when you are trying rename multiple files. Is there anyway that I can prevent the I-cursor from disappearing?

I select a file to rename, and then I press F2 key on my keyboard.

The selected file becomes an input box and the file's name is highlighted, then I press one of the arrow keys on my keyboard, then the highlight on the file name disappears, and then a blinking l-cursor appears all the way left or right on the file name. Sometimes, I click a specific location on the highlighted file name with my mouse. In that case, the blinking l-cursor appears on the clicked location. I believe that is normal in any browsers on Windows or Mac.

I try to move the blink l-cursor to the specific location within the file name to modify by pressing left arrow key or right arrow key on my keyboard. The blinking l-cursor disappears after pressing left or right arrow key one time.

I can count how many times I have to press right arrow key or left arrow key on my keyboard to move the l-cursor to the desired location in the file name to modify, but I lose track of the l-cursor within the file namemost of the times. If I enter a character by typing any of the letter keys or number keys on my keyboard, then the blinking l-cursor reappears again, but then if I repeat to press left arrow key or right arrow key on my keyboard once again, then the blinking l-cursor, once again, disappears. Therefore, it is either I should count how many times I have to press right or left arrow key on my keyboard to get the l-cursor to the desired location within the file name, I have to click the desired location using my mouse, or I insert a random character and erase it everytime I move the l-cursor. I am sorry, but it is very inconvenient, and cumbersome. I wish that the blinking l-cursor stays blinking within the file name even after I move its location using the arrow keys. Do you know what to do to make the l-cursor stay blinking within the file name? Thank you.
