I/O error with the AOM module for Bridge 2017 on Windows 10

Hi,

I'm getting the I/O error on Windows 10 after installing the latest AOM for Bridge 2017.

I've followed the instructions on the How to install Adobe Output Module in Bridge CC 2017 page and have confirmed that I have the correct and most recent version of the module.

Any solutions or suggestions?

Thanks

Have you copied the Adobe Output Module folder to this location?

    • Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Bridge CC 2017 Extensions

And AdobeOutputModule.workspace to the following location

    • Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Bridge CC 2017 Extensions/Workspaces

    Hi All,

We have released a new version of Adobe Bridge (CC 2018) on 18 Oct 2017. The new version build number is 8.0.0.262. This version is available to install via Adobe Creative Cloud application.

This Bridge update contains Native PDF Output in application. Please check the Output workspace after installing new version of Bridge CC.

You may need to update the Creative Cloud application and restart your computer to see the updated installer.

    Thanks,

    Hi Melanie,

    Please follow these steps :-

    • Double-click the downloaded file to decompress it. Open the resulting AOM_Package_Mac, AOM_Package_Win64, or AOM_Package_Win32 folder. This folder contains:
      • The Adobe Output Module folder
      • The AdobeOutputModule.workspace file

    • Copy the Adobe Output Module folder (not the AOM_Package_[OS] folder) into the Bridge CC 2017 Extensions folder in the appropriate location:
      • Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Bridge CC 2017 Extensions
      • Mac OS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Bridge CC 2017 Extensions (here, Library refers to the System Library, not the User Library on Mac OS X)

    • Copy the AdobeOutputModule.workspace file into the Workspaces folder under the Bridge CC 2017 Extensions folder (same folder as referenced in step 2).

Note: If you have created aliases for the original Adobe Output Module files and folders on Mac OS X, ensure that you are copying the original files and folders. An alias is a file that links to the actual item. When you move the alias for an item, the original item doesn’t move. An arrow sign at the lower left of the icon (shown in the image below) indicates that the file or folder is an alias. To copy the original file or folder the alias points to, right-click or Control-click the alias file/folder and choose Show Original from the context menu.

      Regards,

      Sahil

    Hi Sahil,,

Yes, as noted in my original post, I have followed those instructions.

I assure you the problem is not lack of ability to follow instructions.

Re-doing them has not made a difference.  As noted, this problem is in Windows 10 not Mac.

    Thanks
