IDEA: Reduce number of images shown while using Collections, filter or search to save memory/CPU use
I have an idea....an option to reduce number of displayed images or current images read to display mathematically. 1/2, 1/3, 1/4 etc. You could then have pages with the other photos ready to be displayed and not qued up all together. Get my point?
If I use "Collections" to find all images with say "Beer" as a keyword, I get 3945 images under that term within the "Content" window.
This slows down my computer considerably. Granted it's an 8 year old Windows workstation, but it has a Intel 3.5GHz Xeon, 32GB EEC RAM and a old NVIDIA Quadro K4200 graphics card...but it should be able to render those without turning into quicksand.
If I use "Filter" to finetune with another keyword, say "Outdoors" I get 599 images and everything runs smooth as butter on a ward summers day.
So If I can flip a switch to only que up 1/4 of those 3945 images, everything would be smoother. I don't NEED all those to be available immediately anyway.
