Question

image processor doesn't work since new version 24.2

Hello, since installation 24.2 the imageprocessor does not work anymore.

The message which appears ( in Bridge ) says: ' to continue, install the latest version' ... which I did. Reboot (computer + photoshop) doesn't help.

I need this badly because of large amounts of PSD's that has to be turned over into JPG.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

warm greetings from Belgium, Ingrid

Hi @RikDB, there are two conditions required for Image Processor and other scripts between PS and Bridge to work: One is that PS needs to be installed AFTER Bridge is installed. That's because it is PS that installs the Scripts into Bridge to make Image Processor to work. If Bridge is not there, the scripts will not be installed.

The 2nd condition is that you need to have a "matched set" of PS and Bridge. That is, running Brdige 12, and PS 24 will not work.

You have two choices: either update your Bridge to v. 13, or revert PS back to version 23. If you do the latter, you will have the best luck by uninstalling both Bridge and PS, then installing Bridge 12 and then PS 23. You MAY not have any issues just updating Bridge to v. 13 but if you do, uninstall both and reinstall the latest version with the order of Bridge and then PS.

BTW, if you're in a hurry, you can run Image Processor directly from PS. It's under File (menu0 -> Scripts -> Image Processor.
