Question

Image sequence stacking

I may be missing something here, but is there a way to have Bridge read image sequences as a stack? or at least some way to condense them into a single icon in the UI? I have Thousands of stock and footage elements in EXR, DPX, TIF, PNG, etc. and sorting and searching though them is a total pain because each frame just shows up as a mile long list of individual files. each one is in their own individual folder and yet Bridge bridge won't display them as a stacked image sequence. Is there a way to do this? If not can this PLEASE be implemented?

In Lightroom Classic, you can auto-Stack images that are taken "X" amount of time between images. So, for example, if you do HDR photography and have your camera set to run a given number of images as fast as your camera can do it. you can Stack by images that are 1 second apart. You can adjust that to very long spans of time.

Unfortunately, no such option has ever been made for Bridge's Stack mechanism.

Yes, I've used that in Lightroom. It's really handy. I've put in a feature request for stacking image sequences.

Can you manually create a stack? Otherewise you'd need to write a script to do it.

so there's no way to view an image sequence as a single item without manually doing it?

You have to tell Bridge you want the images stacked. That's what a stack is for. You could possibly find or write a script to automate it, search the forums to see whats been posted.
