HiOn Bridge CS6 I have some action (any action...) to run over a group of image thumbnails but, when I select a folder with images, Bridge build in first place the cache for the contents of that folder opened for the first time.I want to make a condition to run my action IF the refresh is finished.>> f refhesh is over >> run my action>> and if not over wait until is really over (I have also to think if the user selects another folder before my first action is over on the previous folder: may be could warn to wait...?? or queue it to run it next...)

I want to develope scripts that will generate a kind of form with a report to print.I thought that might be better to export all the info to an xml file and then use another app (like flash or acrobat) to get the data over a pre-designed form and then print it.Then I thought that it would be easier to do all this with only one click over Bridge...I was also studing acrobat and LiveCycle and it is kind of tricky to learn.In fact, all I want is to read files and folders (not web) and print a simple report.Or...I can get this on a simple flash form converted on standalone app .exe that I could open from Bridge over my presentationPath folder and making it to read a xmlOr... set a flash form on a panel on Bridge using snp window...???

I have allways a folder with several sub-folders with some images there.MotherFolder with:     > Folder01 > 5 images     > Folder02 > 3 images     > Folder03 > 7 images(...)On BridgeCS6, on 'MotherFolder' content, I want to to run an action renaming Folder01, Folder02, Folder03only with 1 condition: if the cache of all the images thumbnails has been built (in other words, only if someone has already viewed on Content all the images in each folder).Briefly, when Bridge has never previewed com Content pane the images of some Folder, it detect it and don't runs the script of renaming the folders.Is this possible?I have manage to write the rename script, but I must script the condition.

I take pictures of a swim team and I keyword tag each image with the swimmers name.  I would like to batch rename and save in a new folder the files so they have the original filename and then the keyword name.  I don't see that as an option in the metadata drop down or any of the other drop downs.  Is there a way to do it?  I have exported it and included the metadata information and from my PC I can see it in the lower picture data, but I am sharing with a Mac user and it is easiest if the name of the swimmer is in the filename.  I have over 1100 pictures and renaming them manually would be too time consuming.  Thank you for your input.  MB

I have this script that works in cs5, but it is not working in CS6- I am going to try to modify it to copy the keywords into the title field, but also drop the ";" and replace with a ","First, I can't get CS6 to run this code, though. I want to write metadata to any file. I am trying to create a submenu which lists scripts in the content window - Does anyone know how to do this? Is it possible to force a refresh of list of the presets in the develop settings menu?  I want to get around this issue:1)  Right click an image and select develop settings - a list of the presets in the CameraRaw/Settings folder is shown in the submenu.2)  With bidge remaining in the foreground open, change the contents of the presets in the CameraRaw/Settings folder (I'm doing this with a jsx script in my case).3)  Right click an image and go to develop settings again - the list shown is the same as the list in step 1.4)  Give any other application focus and then come straight back into bridge.5)  Right click an image, select develop settings again - this time the preset list reflects what's in the CameraRaw/Settings folder.So is it possible to force bridge to refresh that list somehow within my jsx script?

Ok,I admit that I am a novice with JavaScript, although I have experience developing using Xcode with ObjC and lots of interapplication scripting with AppleScript.However, I am clearly missing some very basic concepts trying to do some very simple things to script Adobe Bridge.For instance, I have followed the tutorials and have had no problem running and customizing versions of SnpAddMenuItem.jsx and SnpCreateThumbnailInspector.jsx.Now, let's say I put the SnpAddMenuItem.jsx in the Startup Scripts folder for Bridge CS6. I want to add event handler to be excuted when the user close (exit) a folder by navigating to different one or by closing the a bridge window.

running Bridge CS6 on Windows 7.  Although I tried a lot of existing .jsx scripts first, I have narrowed down my test case to this code typed into the ESTK with targets of ExtendScript Toolkit CS6, Bridge CS5.1 (4.1), Bridge CS6 (5.032), and Bridge CS6 (64 bit) (5.064).var w = new Window('dialog');var tv = w.add('treeview',undefined);tv.add('node','root');w.show();It works properly with ESTK and CS5.1 targets.  On both CS6 targets, the window opens but the treeview widget is blank.  This is the same behavior I saw running SnpXMLTreeView.jsx and the scriptui-2.0.pdf examples.On more complex (existing) scripts, it will crash or lockup Bridge CS6.A search around the forums and the web shows that I am not the only one having this problem.

This may be an "out there" type of question, but would it be possible to use Bridge scripting to sync folders and their contents?For example, folder A has 500 images in at least 1 subfolder. Folder B has the same 500 images in 20 subfolders. The images are not in order in folder A, but they are in folder B. Is there a way to have Bridge notice the hierarchy and syncronise A to B by creating subfolders and subsequently placing the images into the correct place?

HiI´m looking for app events but did not find any method that is able to reset the filters set in the Filters panel.Suppose the Filters panel has checked some options (like to see only green label photos and 2 stars). I am exploring options to connect/build  a database. Connecting from Bridge. I am currently producing data and writing it to a text file. I am interested in stepping things up and making an organized  readable file from multiple users. Or a website that reflects all the data from the multiple users. I am considering a few options limits being cost. The first might be an excel database, next maybe filemaker pro, and or sqlite database. The number of users inputing data would be around 15. The number of users viewing the database would be around 5. I am curious about what comments or conversations this may bring. Thanks BG.
