Is there a shortcut to shift between Bridge windows?
Yep. My question is there!
Yep. My question is there!
I checked the new Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts command in Bridge, and it looks like Bridge does not provide macOS standard Next/Previous Window (Shift-` and ` ) as customizable shortcuts. That would lead one to believe that Bridge is deferring to macOS on this, but it sounds like it does not work that way on your Mac.
Do the macOS standard shortcuts Move Focus to Next/Previous Window (Shift-` and ` ) work on your Mac in non-Adobe applications, such as the macOS Finder? If they don’t, then you could check macOS System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Keyboard to see how macOS defines the shortcut Move Focus to Next Window on your Mac. If the shortcuts do work in other applications on your Mac but not Bridge, then somehow Bridge is not following macOS, even though it does on the US English keyboard.
The other weird thing about Bridge is that although it talks about multiple windows, and they behave like windows down to the shortcuts, they do not look like windows. The title bar at the top of a Bridge “window” is the thin title bar used for macOS floating panels; what macOS calls “windows” typically use the much thicker top title bar.
Hi Conrad C! Again, I'm happy to thank you! At the system settings, Keyboard, there were those shortcuts I newer knew their meaning :). Anyway, I can now shift between the Bridge windows by pressing Contrl-F6. By Contrl-F4, all the open windows on my MBP are shown one by one, and adding shift to this, the opposite direction is chosen. The shortcuts work with both the US and Finnish keyboard settings. Thanks! Tuomas
