Is there a way to edit documents in Bridge?

Is there a way to edit documents in Bridge? I use bridge with Indesign. Currently I replace the documents in Bridge when they are needed to be updated. I do all the creating in Indesign. Is there a better way to do it?

Quick answer: no. Bridge is not a file manipulation program. It cannot change a pixel.

Longer answer (however, you must either have a complete Adobe CC membership or the Photoshop membership for the following):

(Hmm, I just reread your question and see that you are working with InDesign documents. Can you elaborate on what kind of updating you are doing? Are there images involved or only layout options?)
