keyboard commands not working in Bridge CC

Mac wireless keyboard commands do not work with Bridge CC 2017  - I am able to use the arrow keys and set labels, but not able to hit enter, to select all, to enlarge with the space bar, etc..... I am using Photoshop CC on Mac OS 10.13.4
