Keyboard Shortcut wish: Please allow for Metadata-Templates

We often have to apply Metadata from various templates, yet we can't automate the process. It would help us to assign user-created templates via keyboard. Example: The custom shortcut Ctrl+Shift+M could mean "Assign Metadata template Manufacturer-Images"

If you cannot directly target a Template 1, Template 2 etc via ID one might pop up a dropdown to pick from.
