Question

Metadata Information does not update switching from one image to another

My workflow calls for updating metadata (IPTC Core -> keywords) for each of the image in an set. Basic information about what/who/etc on the image. Since at least Bridge Version 13.0.1.583 the metadata panel does not refresh when switching to the next image. Basically always showing the last update to the metadata.

This happens all the time after I have changed the metadata for one image. Any image I preview afterwards will show the metadata (IPTC Core) of the image i made the update. It does however not update the metadata for any other file. Once I restart bridge it will show the correct values for all images until I make another change to one image. A refresh (F5) or purge cache does not seem to help either.

BTW: I tried the BETA version (V 13.0.2.630) and the behavior has not changed.

Hello,

Would you be able to provide a sample video showing the issue?

Does this happen with all assets like jpeg, raw files, png etc? Or issue is with some particular files?

Thanks,

Deepak

Deepak,

Sorry for the delay - I needed to install a new computer (old fried its WiFi Adapter...).

The basic process is to open Bridge. Go into the MetaData of one image, update and confirm. Once done go the next image, return to the updated and copy the content. Most of the time by then all the other images show the same content in the IPTC field Keywords.

Attached video shows the steps.

Note:

- Infrequently the process needs to be repeated twice until this happens.

- I just did preform a fresh install Adobe Bridge on a brand new computer with Windows 10.

Thank You
