Metadata template only working for JPGs

I have just got a new Windows 11 computer.

Using Bridge - Photo Downloader, selecting a template in the Apply Metadata section:

On the old one, importing files into Bridge correctly applied the metadata from my template to all files.

But on the new one, it seems to only apply metadata to JPGs, and not to CR2 or DNG files.

Is there some setting that I've forgotten to set?

Participating Frequently

Once imported into Bridge, using the 3 lines icon, then choosing Replace Metadata and selecting the template works fine.

So why is it no longer working during Import?
