Move Collections from Bridge 2020 to Bridge 2022

Hello -

I am trying to move my collections from my old Macbook, which died, to my new Macbook.

I have all of the collections in format .filelist files from my old computer, from filepath /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Bridge CC 2018/Collections.

However, that filepath does not seem to exist in Bridge 2022. I cannot find where the collections are stored in Bridge 2022. Does anyone know where the collections are stored in Bridge 2022 on Mac, or how I can import these .filelists into Bridge 2022?

Thank you,

Hannah

The solution here worked for me, even transfering fomr Mac Laptop to PC, I only had to change the Directory a bit by clicking Fix, and Changing it from Volume\ to \\[NAS name]\ in the begining of some, and Bridge would find the rest if they are in the same folder

Hi Hannah,

I think, but I'm not sure about this, is that the Collections folder in 2022 doesn't exist because you haven't created a Collection in 2022 yet. So please try to create one, no matter how trivial, and see if it exists then.

On the other hand, you might try to just put the whole Collection set from your old laptop in where it should go, then start Bridge and see if it recognizes it.

My condolences to your old laptop...

Thank you :). I have indeed created two new collections in 2022, but still can't find where the files live. I don't have a Collections folder at all.

Hi Hannah,

Becuase you have a new MacBook (I envy you), I'm going to assume that you are on Monterey? I'm on Big Sur on an Intel 5K iMac and here's my route to the Collection folder which matches your location.

I am not much of a Collection User, but when I first looked here, even though I've not made a Collection since I started using 2022, I did have a Collection folder. I created a Collection and it immediately showed up in the Bridge 2022 folder. I then changed it's name and that also immediately showed up in the Bridge 2022 folder replacing what was there.

Did you try to manually create a Collections folder in the Bridge Folder?

Do try that. You may want to Quit and restart Bridge (if it was running) after you create the folder. Let me know what happens.

Sorry, that's filepath /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Bridge CC 2020/Collections.
