moving photos, loose edits and ratings

hi i edited and rated photos then comand + drag photos from bridge into another finder folder and now when i open those images in bridge i no longer see the edits i made or the ratings. this was never an issue until i got bridge 2021 update. how do i fix this?

Are these RAW files and if so, are the XMP sidecars being copied?

these are raw .ARW files. i drag them from bridge into finder. i dont see any 'xmp sidecars' or know what that is

The DNG files are container files and "contain" the xmp data within the file. There's nothing to see.

You cannot see xmp files from within Bridge but Bridge "SHOULD" move the xmp files with the raw files when moving images around.

seems to be an arw file problem as .dng retains the edits when i drag and drop out of bridge
