naming files in Bridge

Since a few days ago, I'm unable to create new file names or change existing file names. When I click on New File, I get "Untitled folder" and can't modify the name. Is there some glaringly obvious command that I'm not aware of?

Bridge version
System configuration
Is the issue specific to the internal drive or external drive?

Did you move these files to an external drive and do you have Catalina or Big Sur?
