new to Bridge, here's what I'm hoping it can do for me...

I'm hoping I can use Bridge to create and manage an image and video library for the school I work for (using custom metadata fields) which will also speed up and automate certain aspects of my workflow in After Effects.

Specifically, I would like to export a selection of media out of Bridge into an After Effects project, and for those media files to be named according to a naming convention I create, which is in turn based on those custom metadata fields. Then, because the media is named a particular way, I can automate text fields based on thisCompName substrings, and in turn, those comps are created from the file name and carry that useful information in the filename. Hopefully I have explained myself well... can Bridge do this?
