Question

Not centered batch image traces

I am trying to batch image trace a bunch of animation frames through bridge's illustrator batch image trace, it works, but my images are getting uncentered, so then I have to go into every single frame and move the frame into place. Is there a way to make sure this doesn't happen and to make sure my source images are coming out centered in the export? I set my output file size to the same size as my images it just not centering the image so 1/3 of it is left hanging off.

    I was wrong!!

The solution is to have an illustrator file open already. I just have a frame from a previously created sequence and then run things from Bridge.  I'm sure any file would work.

The problem seems to stem from illustrator opening from scratch for each frame. If you have it open already (and a file open too) then it avoids that process and does things properly.

    Phew!

I think I've figured out a way to fix this. When selecting the "document profile" in the image trace options (in Bridge), you need to choose "Art and Illustration". The other settings seem to cause problems.

    Hello,

Did you ever solve this problem? I am finding the exact same thing and it's infuriating. I thought I'd solved it for one image sequence by exporting without an alpha, but I've now discovered the same problem on another sequence.

It only seems to get about half the sequence wrong. We should also be able to have Bridge automatically create output image sizes that match the input file, rather than doing it manually for each one.

    Thanks
