Open photo in Photoshop starting in Camera RAW

When I select a photo in Bridge to open with Camera RAW everything works perfect. I do my stuff in camera RAW but when I click open, camera RAW returns to Bridge instead of Photoshop opening my photo. I allready removed en reinstalled both Bridge and photoshop but nothing changes. Is this a bug or are those things normal since the last update(s). All my products are the latest version and my Mac is up to date as well.

Same problem here

(Windows 10 22H2, PS 2023 24.2.0, Bridge 2023 13.0.2.636, ACR 15.2.0.1381)

After updating to PS 24.2 ACR no longer opens files in PS.

So far I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling PS, Bridge, downloaded and installed ACR 15.2 (had to remove the previous Camera Raw.8bi plug-in for that to install), reset all file associations. So far nothing has fixed it.

Philippe's discovery that pressing enter when multiple ACR compatible files are selected in Bridge works and is a workaround until the problem is fixed. But trying to open files directly from ACR to PS is no longer working on my main computer. I'll check on my laptop when I have time.

As there are three different pieces of software not playing nice together it's hard to know where the problem is comoing from. BUT everything was working fine prior to installing the PS 24.2 update.

I just discovered when I select my pictures in Bridge and I use the Enter key instead of clicking on the icon (open in camera RAW) to open the pictures in camera RAW, when I click on Open afterwards they open in Photoshop !? It does the same thing when I open 1 picture or multiple pictures.

Camera RAW opens when I use Shift+Cmd+A (or when I select filter > camera RAW). The problem stays when I click Open in camera RAW, it returns to Bridge and does nothing mote then that.

Hello Philippe,

Quick question: Are you able to open the camera raw module from a file open in Photoshop ?
either with filter>camera raw filter or Shift + Cmd + A (on a Mac) or Shift + Ctrl + A (on a PC)

Just to determine if the problem comes from Photoshop (or maybe from Bridge?)
