When I try the open with option in Adobe Bridge 2022, I see multiple choices for the same progam - is there any way to delete these older versions or duplicates?

Interesting question, for all the years I've used Bridge, I've not thought about removing them. (I guess whenever I go into the File Association area, I'm too much in a hurry to get my work done and do not take the time to mull on that dynamic.)

If you look at the top region, above a very thin line, those are all of the Adobe applications that can work with that file. Below are a curious mix of applications that "could" open that kind of file which include applications that DO exist on your computer, and those that certainly do not. For example, when I see what's available for "jpg" files, I see in that lower section are any applications that can possibly work with jpgs.

And I do belive that this is simply a list of any and all applications that you can take a jpg to and open it within the application and that includeds (in this case) browsers.

So in short, I doubt it. While initially it may seem like a good idea, but if you remove an application that you do not need today, who's to say you do not need it tomorrow?
