Photo Downloader No Device found

I have a PC running Windows 11 22H2 and have Bridge 14.01.137. installed. Camera - Nikon Z8

The Photo Downloader cannot detect a device despite the fact that Windows and Lightroom can both see it without any issues. I'm using a CF Express/SDXC USB 3 card reader.

Does anyone know how I might persuade Bridge to access the card reader? I've tried an older SD USB 2 card reader and that isn't detected by the Bridge Photo Downloader either.
