Question

Possible to keep Photo Downloader open after downloading images?

Hi all,

As the title says, I'm looking for a way to keep the Downloader open when doing multiple downloads to different drive locations. Recreating the thumbnails takes up time. I didn't find anything in preferences for this, but maybe I missed it? A web search didn't bring results either.

Thanks for your help.

No one has a clue about this? From the responses here it seems Photo Downloader isn't used by professional photographers. I use it frequently and keeping the Downloader window open, with already created thumbnails, or the ability to create/queue several batches of downloads would really help the workflow.

You seem to be using Bridge's  Photo Downloader I would think that most users here would use a Card Reader and Finder or Windows File explorer they do not close.  There is a Bridge Forum  you may get better answers over there. Users there will be better equipped to answer question about  bridge features IMO. Bridge

Here is a search over there one you subject

It sounds like you may be using Photoshop Elements. Can you confirm and, if so,  I will move your post to the Photoshop Elements forum.

Thanks for the response, Dave. I'm using Photoshop CC 2017 on a Mac, and accessing the Photo Downloader via Bridge.

(As for JJMack's question ... I presumed this was an okay place to ask such a question since Bridge, and therefore Photo Downloader, come along with Photoshop. My apologies for the incorrect forum etiquette.)

Which downloader are you using? Why are you asking this question in a Photoshop forum?  Are referring to some downloader's thumbnails? What are you downloading from.  I download with Windows File Explore it does not close downloading images.

If you are you using Adobe Elements Photo Downloader ask in the Elements forum. Photoshop Elements

If you are you using Adobe Bridge Photo Downloader ask in the Bridge forum Bridge
