As many other people here I have troubles getting the media preview fully work in Adobe Bridge. I have tried various things like resetting the preferences. I also have the latest Adobe Bridge version installed.
I rather suspect that it's not working because of a bad configuration or insufficient hardware, missing driver etc. Rather than throwing money onto the issue by buying new hardware, I have the hope that someone can provide insights, guidance. Afterall I am just getting started with professional video editing and there is so much to consider, that makes debugging more difficult. Thus I think I got quite far already. Anyway, I appreciate any help.
I got:
- 1 NVM SSD for OS & Apps
- 1 NVM SSD for on going projects
- 1 HDD for finished projects and footage-archive. I plan to improve it later on. Once I know that I regulary cut videos.
- i12900k
- 64GB RAM
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
- Windows 11 (most recent available version for me - Windows 11, version 22H2)
And in my settings I have those settings:
- [X] Video: Preview Video on Mouse Over
- [ ] Prefer Thumbnail Generation Over Preview Generation
- [ ] Use Software Rendering
- [X] Stack Playback Frame Rate Per Second (60)
In addition I have bought:
- https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9NMZLZ57R3T7 because it costs just 99cent and was worth a try, to me.
Here are some further details. Also about what is working:
- Working
- Footage from my Google Pixel 5 (mp4) (downloaded one example video)
- Playing the below mentioned GoPro Hero 8 4k/60FPS footage via media player. I can also view and edit it in Premiere Pro and After Effects. What I also can do is double click on the footage in Bridge and then a different player will open. My current pretty uncool workaround.

- Lens: SuperView
- HyperSmooth: On
- Low Light: Off

- Not working
- Moving the below mentioned 4k footage to an NVM SSD
