Problem moving from ACR to photoshop

Bridge and ACR 2023 works fine for me ,  as does Photoshop 2023 ..   But I am having hassle moving a file from ACR to Photoshop ...  In the past , after preliminary editing I would go to the bottom right corner of the ACR screen and click open ..... and it would open in Photoshop ...

This does not happen now ,  The ACR screen reverts to the Bridge screen ....  I can get there eventually but it involves going through a few a few more clicks ......  Something isn't right but I can't crack it 😞

    I am having the same problem. I have all of the latest versions but when in ACR 15.0, and trying to open a .dng, .arw (Sony RAW file), or a .jpeg into photoshop, it closes and goes back to Bridge. I have to right click on the thumbnail in Bridge, then select "Adobe Photoshop 23 24.0 (default)" and only then does it open in Photoshop. Everything I try to open does have at least one mask applied. Major workflow pain in the rear. Please fix!

      I'm having a similar problem "if" I have added a new mask in ACR. It creates the new .acr file as well as the .xml file - but it will not open from ACR into Photoshop by clicking the open button as it used to.
