Problem viewing images

Hello,  I have just installed the new 2021 version of Bridge onto my mac and when I drag an image from my desktop into the app on my dock - the image doesn't appear.  I have worked with an older version of Bridge successfully in this way  but wondering if there is a new feature, ie way to view the image or if there might be some other issue at play?

Thank you

HI Debra,

I do that ALL the time to open a folder of images (rather than search for it via the Folders Panel, I find this approach the fastest to access a folder of images).

I'm going to assume that you're using Catalina? If so, please do the following to give Bridge the access rights it needs (note, these screenshots were taken in Mojave but they still show what needs to be done):

Go to your System Preferences and select Security and Privacy (found in the top section). Now click on the Privacy setting (last tab). Now click on the lock on the bottom left and provide your Administrator code. Now select the Full Disk Access option and click on the "+" symbol. This will bring up the standard Mac Open window and let you add any application you want or need to have full access. Look for Bridge, select it, it will now appear in that window and make sure it's checked. Next go to the Files and Folders option and do the same thing as above (although there's nothing to check, just add. Close everything down and see if that makes it all work.

Please let me know

If this is still not working for you I have to ask what Panels do you have open? When you say "the image" doesn't appear, what are you seeing? When I do this to a closed Bridge, this action opens Bridge for me, is this not happening for you?

Also, just to cover all bases, what version of the Mac OS are you using (and what release). Do you also have Photoshop installed?

Thanks so much, Gary.

Not sure if you received my earlier reply since I responded via email. My first time posting here.

I think your fix is the right fix since when I installed the app, I stupidly did not allow access to desktop and documents. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times but it's not helping.

I'm wondering if you know where I can find the administrator's code by any chance?

Thank you again,

have you looked in the Sys Prefs in the Security and Privacy Section (shown above) to see if you're OK there?
