I just downloaded the Bridge 2021. I have been a subscriber to Photoshop & the Bridge for years. Now when I try and access my files on my external drives I can not nor do I see access to Photoshop. It seem everytime I upgrade I lose something in the software. Is there anyone out there that can me?

I had that exact problem with Bridge and lastest Photoshop.

Adobe did something in their software so you can't use it with Microsoft OneDrive, you have to store the images on your image in a directory not OneDrive and everything works again.   I expressed my displeasure with Adobe for doing this as I think they are just trying to get users to their on-line storage not Microsoft's system.  Too bad, OneDrive worked as an automatic backup with the pictures stored on my computer and uploaded automatically in the background to OneDrive on-line storage.

I'm guessing that you are on a Mac, This is an Apple thing, they are protecting you. Here's how to resolve the problem. If you are on a PC, please let us know when you ask your question, it makes a difference for the answer.

Go to your System Preferences and select Security & Privacy. Click on the Privacy Tab, then scroll down till you see Full Disk Access.

Then unlock the lock in the bottom left with your system authorization PW. Finally click on the “+” to bring up an Open window and select LRC and any other applications that needs or may need open access to various areas of your computer.

But wait, there’s more…

Now click on the next folder down, Files and Folders. You’ll see many applications grayed out because these are applications that already got permission from the first part.

But as you scroll down you may see other applications that have sub-categories to OK. If that lock is still open, you can do this at any time.

Using Photoshop® I have loss a lot of my RAW images. Using an  Apple iMac. Anyone experience the same thing? Could have been the upgrade or empting the cash?

I have a hunch that you're having a Security confrontation issue with your system. I'm guessing that your images were on your Desktop or on an external drive, correct? If I AM correct, here's how to resolve that. If I'm wrong I need more information of what your process actually is: how do you get your images, what do you do to them, where are they located, etc.

This is not the fault of Adobe or anyone, this is Apple making sure that applications that have not been given permission to access areas of your computer cannot access those areas of your computer.

Close everything up and you should be good to go.
