Problem with LISTBOX in MAC

Hello to all,

I am developing a plugin for Adobe Bridge CS3, to better edit metadata.
In a field, I have a listbox with options to populate the metadata's values to an image file.
The problem is this:
I want this listbox's size to be equal to one line of text. In windows it works as it should, but when I try it in Mac, I just can't make the listbox be smaller than 3 lines. I've tried all possible ways, do you guys think it is some kind of limitation or bug to the Mac version?

AFAIK, that's just the way it is. I don't use listboxes all that much in my
work, so it hasn't been that much of a problem for me.
