problem with photos

I just added photos in Adobe bridge and did a batch reaname like I always do. Now all the files I renamed are white squares and I can't open them. Has this happened to anyone before? If so how do I fix this?

Did you somehow manage to rename and remove the filename extension?

 

If you know what file format they are, then just rename to include the missing extension.
