Hi Fabienne,

Curious problem, let me see if I can provide some thoughts:

What happens when you press Command-b OR Command-L?

In addition, uninstalling and reinstalling are generally not the first things to try when having issues. Many issues can be solved by first trying to remove the Cache for that folder (Tools menu) — probably not relevant to your problem, or rebuilding Bridge's Preferences (which you've done). So, what I'm suggesting is to verify your keyboard commands are working.

Bonjour Gary,

Hi Fabienne,

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean your keyboard was broken. It's just that international keyboards have different settings for some operations than US keyboards. I wondered if something got broken in the software that might account for the issue. Unfortunately, I have no specific knowledge on this for your problem.

For what it's worth, I've always used the Escape key to get out of the Slideshow (Command-L). Otherwise, it stops  by itself at the end of the "show."

One last thing: I've always had problems when trying to rebuild Bridge's Preferences: when they say to "start Bridge, and then immediately "press the Shift-Command-Option keys," it was always hit or miss for me. What I later figured out was to already press the "Shift-Command-Option keys," AND THEN start Bridge. One the popup window displays, select the "Reset Preferences," and continue.

Also, did you try option #3 on that page Adobe recommended? Worth a try.

Good luck!

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Bridge. Would you mind sharing the exact version of Bridge you're using along with your computers operating system? Are you using 2 monitors?

You can try to reset the Preferences of Bridge using the steps mentioned here: https://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/troubleshoot-errors-freezes-bridge.html

Let us know if it helps!

Regards,

Nikunj
