Problems renaming photos in Bridge 2019

I use Bridge to batch rename my photos. (ie: photo_001, photo_002) After updating Bridge to 2019, I can no longer use numbers to rename.

If I try to use a number it doesn't show up but adds a star or rating.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

Can you please reset Bridge preferences by following the steps below:

    • Start Adobe Bridge and immediately press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) until the Reset Settings dialog box appears.

    • Select  options--Reset Preferences and Reset Standard Workspaces, and then click OK.

Please let me know if the issue persists.

This is not a fix, this resets the Edit -> Preferences -> Labels ... Require the Control Key to Apply Labels and Ratings. The bug still exists. Never in the last 10 years has unchecking the "Require the Control Key..." impacting typing numbers into the rename filename area. This is a huge pain and terrible change in user experience.
