Re: Why is Adobe's Customer Service so bad?

Against my better judgement (I've only had bad experiences in the last 2/3 years), I called tech support yesterday to ask how to undo a batch rename in bridge.  Seemingly simple question.  I got bad information that was ostensibly the answer to my question - only to have to wait 30 minutes on the phone to finally hear that one cannot undo that action.  Total waste of time.

Tech support are trained to search a database of known issues and solutions.

Many have never used in Bridge in real world situations.

That's why these forums are so important. We use Adobe apps just like everyone else here.

We have just been exposed to the WTF question more often and have direvied solutions based on our own knowledge.

Some of this stuff you just have to experience to understand it.

Alw6best to check the forums first. IMO, Adobe customer support has been trained to answer questions, but they may not use Adobe apps like the people here on the forums that try and help. Most, if not all here are professional users of Photoshop and know the ins and outs of the program probably better than customer service. It reminds me of a color processing lab that I worked, in college. The manufacturer of the processing equipment came to us to help them with customer questions, as we knew their equipment better than they did.
