Recently the option was removed in the preferences whether to require ctrl when rating or labeling images in bridge or not. Could we get this option back?

Recently the option to require ctrl when rating or labeling images in bridge was removed in the preferences menu. I am requesting that this option be restored. Ctrl is not required when rating or labeling images in Lightroom Classic. The discrepancy is very frustrating when switching back and forth between the two programs.

Like Erik said, it’s been years now. When this first showed up, there were so many complaints that I created a video on how to get it back. The good news, is that you can fix this, but the bad news is that it’s more tedious than it used to be.

I’m sending the link to a YouTube video below I made two years ago. But there is an issue that is presenting itself here. Below is the link, but I’ve put a space inbetween “https://.you” “tube.com/watch?v=g0PO-rnn0uE” Copy the link below, enter it into the top of your browser, and manually delete the space. You should be able to see it at that point. I do not know which way to point fingers: Adobe’s website or YouTube, but Housten, there is an issue here.

This is not new and is well over two years old.

I know it is not new issue I would just like the option back.  It did just recently become an issue for me though.  I did a fresh new install on a computer and it was gone. My old preferences had held through all the prior updates apparently. Going the manual keyboard shortcut route is confusing and unnecessary.  Especially when the shortcuts for Lightroom do not require the ctrl/cmd key.

OK, it is just that you said, “Recently the option was removed...”

Yes, many would appear to desire that little check box back as it once was.

It looks like this will never happen however, so it’s keyboard shortcuts or nothing I’m afraid.
