Reset Preferences Not Working

I accidentally imported preferences to Bridge on Mac, and I heard that Command+Option+Shift allows you to reset preferences.  However, I got no results from doing so, even after doing it numerous times over and holding down those buttons for an extended period of time.  Nothing works.  What else am I not doing or what else can be done?

Those keys must be pressed prior to starting Bridge. Here's the process:

Quit Bridge (if running). Just before clicking on Bridge in the Dock or double-clicking the application for the Mac, press Command-Option-Shift. For PCs, press Control-Alt-Shift. Then open Bridge BUT KEEP your fingers on those keys until you see a window pop up. From the window, choose “Reset Preferences," "Entire Thumbnail Cache,” and/or "Reset Standard Workspaces.” In your case, choose "Reset Preferences."
