Question

Searching for photos with NO keyword

I like to make sure all my photos have keywords assigned to them.  When I upload new phots, then I search for 'keywords' 'do not exist' and I get a ton of folders which when opened contain photos WITH keywords.  What am I doing wrong?

I just ran a quick test by randomly removing all keywords from 20 out of a set of 100 files (copies I hasten to add!)

Find, with criteria Keywords>does not exist, returned correctly all the non-keyworded files and no others.

So this seems to work correctly for me on Windows 11.

Have you tried cache purging in the first instance?

Wow!  Thank you for your trouble.  I just uploaded an un-keyword photo, and did a search.  It found it, but also all (lots more than pictured) folders.  A spot check of opening the folder showed photos with keywords.

Thank you!!

In your second image I see that all but one of the found items are in fact folders which do not contain keywords. Suggest that you try looking in the View menu and uncheck "Show folders". Does that help?
