Show items from sub folders + search within folders not WORKING!

Can someone PLEASE explain what setting I should use for my Bridge Cache so that it ACTUALLY WORKS AGAIN!

This is getting to the point that bridge is becoming unusable - Almost daily I have to purge the cache just for it to actually look inside and refresh folder content.

This never used to be a problem, but its now constant and yet another irritation that makes my day harder.

Hi,

After resetting preferences, please go to parent folder and select "show items from subfolders" and allow Bridge to generate cache for all items.

Once this is done, Bridge should return correct search results.

Hi courtneyw98665068,

To resolve this issue , please follow  the steps below.

  • Start Adobe Bridge and immediately press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) until the Reset Settings dialog box appears.

  • Select all three options--Reset Preferences, Reset Standard Workspaces, and Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache--and then click OK.

Please let us know if the problem persists.

Hi, no this doesnt help. It may temporarily make it search the sub folders again but once it has searched them once it never does it again correctly. Search with in sub folders and show items from subfolders is not working! it works maybe 10% of the time and rest of the time I need to either manually purge the cache or just go and look in each folder for the cache to amend itself.

This is absolutely ridiculous and makes Bridge essentially pointless, I believe the problem occurs more often when Im working over network drives but that is what I do 75% of the time.

FIX YOUR SOFTWARE PLEASE!
