This issue is new and is driving me up the wall!  Any ideas as to how I can resove it?  I am close to dumping Adobe - shame as I have been a user for nearly 20 years!

Hello, all!

Please give information about your setup from Help>More info... (in Photoshop)

Also, describe if it is only opening an image in Photoshop, or camera raw, or camera raw hosted in Photoshop that takes a long time. what about Illustrator/InDesign?

Set up is Macbook Pro running Catalina version 10.15.1

This issue is opening RAW files (NEF and RAF) in Bridge only.  Camera RAW is fine opening it from Finder but in Bridge, it doesn't open for several seconds, meaning that if there are several/many images, it takes several minutes!  If you want to just view raw images in Bridge, prior to sorting or exporting to PS, forget it!

Hope this helps. This has never been an issue before the most recent update.

Thank you.

I am having the same problem. Very frustrating. I have tried everything! I have tried version 9.1.0 and that opens an into PS four times more quickly, still not ideal. PS still works super fast.

If for instance I select four images to open in bridge, it takes around five seconds to open the first one in PS and they all open very quickly from then on, BUT it takes the same length of time to open just one image.

I've rest everything, cache etc. It is too slow to work with.

Sueb, I've reverted back version 9.xxxx which is a little better. I've tried using Windows exporer to open a image into PS and that opens instantly. A bit strange that the software designed to work in conjunction with PS has such major performance issues. PS is working smoothly and at it's normal speed for my machine.

PC specs are:

Dual XEON X5567 @3.07 GHZ

96GB RAM

Nvidia Quadro 6000

Win10

I appreciate your response SNapperMx - if the issue isn't resolved by the end of this week, I'm dumping it.
