Question

Star label ratings below thumbnails are missing: how to bring them back?

I am in Filmstrip view with the files displayed as thumbnails. It used to show the start rating right below each thumbnail. Those suddenly disapeared, how can I make them shown again?

There is a large tab at the very bottom of the screen with buttons to apply the star rating. If I click these, i can change the rating of the selected thumbnail. This is not how I want to do it. I want instead to just click the starts to fill/unfill the rating.

The problem is not the size of the thumnail strip. I have dragged to increase the height to the full size of the screen, and they still don't appear.

The only suggested sloution to this that I have found is to reset ALL of the Adobe Bridge settings. Please do not suggest that; I have other settings configured, and I don't want to spend a full day remembering what needs to be changed and how.

Bridge version 13.0.1.583.

Now I notice that the image name is ALSO missing. It used to display the file name below each thumbnail (right below, or right above the starts, I don't recal which). Now that has disapeared too.

Hi @bernoullilizard

There are two possible ways this can happen, but both of them are easily resolvable, and you will have your names and rating back.

#1: Increase the size of the thumbnails. If the thumbnails are too small, the name and rating display is sacrificed to make room for the confines of space the images have to work in. As you increase the image size, everything will show up.

#2: "unclick" Thumbnails only. There are options along the bottom that let you visually remove everything that is not the thumbnail. Uncheck that, and all is restored (as long as there is room for it, see #1 above).

I hope one of these was the cause of your missing data.
