tagging images in bridge apple

Hi. I am using a imac mini and trying to select and flag images in bridge. On windows and other macs I hit the 6 key to select a red flag. Seems not to be working on this new imac and keyboard. Even using the mouse to flag images doesnt work.

Any suggestions please?
